Vocational education and training, VET, is training (excluding higher education) that gives people work-related knowledge and skills. VET covers preparatory entry-level and advanced-skill programs in technical and further education (TAFE) institutes, schools, private training organisations, and workplace and community settings.
VET has a practical emphasis and is directly linked to the needs of business and industry. Representatives from business and industry help design and update VET courses to ensure that they are relevant and related to the needs of specific jobs.
Ausmusic works with schools and trainers to implement the National Music Industry Training Package courses in schools and other community locations throughout the country. See Implementation for more details.
Ausmusic is an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) and establishes partnerships with schools and other community provides to deliver courses. Ausmusic takes on the responsibilities as the RTO in compliance with the ATQF guidelines.
Schools general delivery Certificates I, II or III depending on their local state education department guidelines. Some schools and community organizations deliver Certificate IV level qualifications to their students. For more information contact Ausmusic info@ausmusic.org.au
That is entirely up to each individual school or organization. Ausmusic charges a license, RTO and curriculum fee to each registered site. The amount that any site charges is left up to that site’s discretion.
Depending on the units slected and the level of qualification, facilites can vary dramatically. As a general rule, the Technical Production stream requires access to recording, live sound and production facilities and resources. Contact Ausmusic for more details. |
