At the completion of the Advanced Diploma of Music, students will be able to:
- Apply copyright knowledge and OHS in their professional life
Depending on elective units taken:
- Build technical and performance skills for professional gigs in music and/or music theatre
- Perform as a soloist
- Conduct a performance/lead and organise a rehearsal
- Build performance repertoire

To attain the Advanced Diploma of Music, achieve 15 units; all units in Group A, plus at least five units in Group B and eight others. Five of the other units should be drawn from Group B and/or the unit bank for Advanced Diploma. The remaining three units may be drawn from the unit bank for Advanced Diploma or from another endorsed industry training package at Advanced Diploma level.
The Advanced Diploma of Music consists of 24 hours in Group A, 150-288 hours in Group B, plus eight other units. Completion of the Diploma of Music will reduce the hour requirements.
