Ausmusic is pleased to announce the establishment of the Ausmusic College in Melbourne, giving students the opportunity to further their contemporary music education at Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels. Within 18 months, an Ausmusic College will be established in each Australian capital city, inviting students throughout the country to follow their dream into the music industry.
The Ausmusic College operates in conjunction with the Music Factory, giving students a real insight into the working music industry. The Music Factory is the ideal partner for people to further their music industry training.
2007 will see the Ausmusic College offer programs in three music industry streams; performance, technology and business. These streams are part of the National Music Industry Training Package offering full qualifications that are recognized throughout Australia, with migration to tertiary level degrees. Students in the performance stream will be undertaking training in performance skills, songwriting, preparing for recording and much more.
Students in the technology stream undertake a variety of training including studio recording, live sound, equipment repair and digital technology.
The business stream takes students through the management side of the music industry with topics such as event management, artist promotion and industry marketing.
